Welcome to Koala Ecology!

We are the Koala Ecology Group at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia - and this site is where we'll share with you the latest in koala conservation work, research studies, and insights into careers in conservation and field biology. It's our hope that by communicating outside the scientific sphere we can raise awareness about these fascinating animals and some of the conservation issues surrounding them.



We'll start off by writing a few posts highlighting our research programs, which include work on koala vocalisations, GPS-tracking, and urban habitat use. And maybe a little about the koala itself. And maybe the story of Sean and the Tall Tree. But let's not get ahead of ourselves ...
